Just before I set off after lunch the wind appeared to drop but I hoped it was temporary. But when I arrived it didn't look very promising especially as Alan was struggling on a 5m. So I rigged my 5.5m and initially struggled to get going. But then the wind picked up a bit and I finally got going between the waves for a fun session. The best bit was when the squall came through, the wind picked up and went more cross-shore. I had a nice run out past the waves - so much simpler with cross-shore wind - but by the time I turned the wind was already dropping so it was time to pack up.
